Concepts

Lumen turns academic evaluation into a reviewable workflow. These concepts define how the product works.

Assessment package

The assessment package contains the question paper, model answer or marking scheme, rubric, answer sheets, candidate context, and evaluation settings.

Rubric

The rubric defines what Lumen evaluates. It can include maximum marks, expected concepts, mandatory points, optional points, common mistakes, teacher instructions, and strictness guidance.

Suggested mark

A suggested mark is an AI-assisted recommendation. It is not a final mark. Teachers review the suggestion, explanation, confidence, and answer evidence before approval.

Confidence

Confidence helps prioritize review. Low extraction confidence, low scoring confidence, rubric misses, and unusual variance route work into teacher review or moderation.

Review and moderation

Review is the teacher approval workflow. Moderation handles low-confidence, disputed, policy-sensitive, or exception cases before finalization.

Final export

Final export is the approved handoff of reviewed results or reports. Export follows review and moderation policy.
